About Our Therapy Dog Certification Dog Training

We’re excited to introduce our Therapy Dog Certification program, designed to bring comfort, joy, and support to those in need! Our program offers comprehensive training and guidance for dogs and their handlers, preparing them to become certified therapy dog teams.

Collaborating with K-9 Caring Angels, a nationwide nonprofit dedicated to service, our therapy dog teams provide meaningful support in various environments. Our teams make a positive impact by engaging in activities at assisted living facilities, children’s organizations, schools, libraries, office settings, funeral services, and beyond.

Additionally, our training emphasizes the importance of effective communication, empathy, and understanding for handlers, ensuring they are well-prepared to support their canine companions and provide meaningful interactions with individuals in need.

Through our partnership with K-9 Caring Angels and AKC Canine Good Citizen Certification, teams will have the opportunity to positively impact their communities by bringing comfort and companionship to those facing physical or emotional challenges.

Join us on this inspiring journey to make a difference through the power of therapy dog work! Take the first step today by contacting us at (330) 310-3647 or filling out our contact form.

I learned about Sit Means Sit dog training while I was living in Denver, Colorado. I was looking for a dog trainer and was referred to Sit Means Sit by a man I met in a dog park. I was so impressed with the free demonstration they showed me. As amazing as it was, I… Read More

I joined the Sit Means Sit team in the fall of 2010. As the proud owner of two St. Bernard/Rottweiler mixes, I was eager to get my dogs into training shortly after I started my career with the company. My dogs would jump on everyone and everything they could! They counter surfed, dug through the… Read More

Our dog had the absolute best experience with all of the trainers at Sit Means Sit. We started with puppy training and then moved into distraction training. Our pup loved her instruction and developed exponentially week over week. We also appreciate the time spent with us to provide us with the knowledge and skills to continue her training at home. We are also so pleased to have the option for group classes too and will be attending regularly!

I rescued/adopted an English bull terrier from the APL. Out of all my rescues, she was the most difficult and challenging, to the point where I thought she may not be a good fit with my other dogs. I decided to try sit means sit, and it was a true game changer after the first lesson. They establish boundaries for her and restored balance to the house. They were a true lifesaver! Highly Recommended!
