I joined the Sit Means Sit team in the summer of 2023, shortly after graduating from Kent State University with a Bachelors Degree in Zoology. I have always had a passion for animals in general, but dogs specifically have held a special place in my heart.
Since joining the team I have had the opportunity to work with hundreds of dogs of varying breeds, temperaments, behavioral issues, size, etc. and have loved it all! I’ve trained 5 pound dogs and 150 pound dogs, sweetheart dogs as well as dogs that have multiple bites on their record, confident dogs and anxious dogs, and everything else you can imagine. Also, the past two years I have been part of the testing for CGC (Canine Good Citizen) and our therapy dog team (K9 Caring Angels) and have helped train dogs to the level of therapy dog and beyond!
I am a trainer but part of my role is doing consultations — sitting down and having conversations with people about what issues they are having, and what their goals are. I love being able to have those heart to heart conversations and give people hope that their dog can be helped, and they are not “stuck” with the issues they currently are struggling with!
This is truly the right place for me — it’s the perfect combination of working with animals all day every day, as well as helping their human counterparts to know how to communicate with them in an effective way, leaving them with happy, confident, and obedient dogs!
