FAQs About Group Classes
Q: Why do I have to register for group class?
A: Online registration is required to manage class size and ensure that each client has the same opportunity to sign up.
Q: Something came up at the last minute and I won’t be able to make group class tonight, so how do I cancel registration?
A: Our registration system is client managed, so the easiest way to cancel is to refer to the confirmation message you received at the time of registration. When in doubt, you may call the office to double-check. If missing class becomes a habit, we may re-evaluate your group class eligibility.
Q: Can I bring more than one person to group class with me?
A: We can allow up to 2 adults to attend group class with your dog.
Q: Can I bring my children to group class with me?
A: We ask no children under 12 years attend class with your dog. While we love children, for safety reasons and to keep class sizes reasonable, we ask that you make other arrangements for the little ones.
Q: Bad weather is in the forecast. Is Group Class cancelled?
A: Our office will reach out via phone, text, or email to announce any cancellations, weather related or otherwise.
Q: What if I do not use my group classes? Do they expire?
A: Depending on the benefits of your program, your group classes may expire. They should be used beginning right after graduation to keep training consistent, especially around distractions, and to fine-tune your skills as a handler. Classes are meant to be used during the training process, not months or years later. It’s likely that if you decide to start group classes later, they will be too challenging because you or your dog is out of the habit of training.
It’s not mandatory for you to come to group classes, but please know that we are not able to extend out group class expiration dates without a valid reason (illness which prevented attendance, extended travel, etc.)
Q: How do I purchase more group classes once my program expires?
A: We are pleased to tell you that we do offer additional group class packages for clients who have gone through the Sit Means Sit program. We offer group memberships for six months or one year. Interested? Call the office to sign up!
Q: My dog is sick or injured, and will not be able to attend group classes for a month, what should I do?
A: If you contact the office, we can place your group classes on hold until your pooch is back in good health.
